Jolene Stephens is an emerging author of self-help books. She has been interested in self-help information most of her life and had the desire to write about it. Her first book, "Stop & Smell the Roses," is a short read about how to live in the present, let go of the past, and stop worrying about the future. All these things create a happier, more content life. She is an introvert who struggled with verbal communication all her life. It's easy for her to put her thoughts in writing, but talking to someone new, face to face, created so much anxiety that she couldn't think of anything to say, even though she had rehearsed several questions beforehand. Answering questions was also difficult because her mind would go blank, and she needed time to think about the answers. She has always thought small talk was worthless conversation and wanted to find a way to have more meaningful conversations. So, she started researching better ways to approach and communicate with people. The information she collected is included in her second book, "Introvert's Personal Conversation Guide." Life has provided her with many growing experiences and more opportunities for learning than she thought she needed. She and her family have been through nearly every scenario a family can experience. They didn't do everything right, not even close. But over the years, their constant conflicts have been replaced with love and respect for one another's beliefs, and the path each person is on. Her personal experiences have given her a treasure trove of sound, practical insights into what works in life and what doesn’t. More importantly, she has come through many trials with a strong, positive attitude and sincere desire to help others. Jolene is a retired graphic designer and is currently a Certified Body Code/Emotion Code Practitioner. She is the mother of six children, grandmother to fifteen, great-grandmother to four, and lives in Sandy, Utah.
