JULIE MAYERSON BROWN lives in Los Angeles with her family and a pack of lovable boxers. She started writing freelance when her two sons were young . . . humorous essays, travel escapades, and adventures in motherhood. Her work has appeared in the Daily Breeze, Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles Jewish Journal, and Parenting Magazine. Her first novel, Long Dance Home, was published in 2012. But in 2017, she completely rewrote the manuscript and jumped into the wild world of independent publishing. Since then, the Clearwater series has grown: "A Clearwater Christmas" (a young adult holiday novella, 2018) and "Road to Somewhere" (Book two, 2019) which picks up where "Long Dance Home" leaves off. Book three, "The Lonely Sommelier," is set to be released in January 2021. The genre of the series is Women's Fiction with Romance appeal. "It's Hallmark movie meets Gilmore Girls," Brown said in a recent interview. "My protagonists always have a journey to take - discovering a truth about themselves or others, overcoming an obstacle, facing a deep seated fear, or managing a life-altering crisis. Then I add in an irresistible love interest to complicate her life. What can go wrong? Everything!" When not writing, Julie is cooking, cleaning up after her dogs, gardening without much success, mentoring young writers, and of course - reading! Currently working on her next novel, Julie usually can be found with her laptop and coffee in one of the quiet corners of her local library.
