A graduate of Sam Houston State University, she is a member of the Texas Chapter for the Association for Gravestone Studies as well as the Friends of Galveston Cemeteries group. A regular contributor to Galveston Monthly Magazine, her current books are “Galveston’s Broadway Cemeteries,” "Ghosts of Galveston" and "The History of the Hotel Galvez."
