LENORE HART is the author of the novels WATERWOMAN (a Barnes & Noble Discover book), ORDINARY SPRINGS, THE TREASURE OF SAVAGE ISLAND, BECKY: The Life and Loves of Becky Thatcher, and THE RAVEN'S BRIDE. She's also series editor of THE NIGHT BAZAAR fantastic fiction anthologies; THE NIGHT BAZAAR: Eleven Haunting Tales of Forbidden Wishes and Dangerous Desires (pub. 2017, set in NYC) and THE NIGHT BAZAAR VENICE: Thirteen Tales of Forbidden Wishes and Dangerous Desires (pub. 2020, set in 1348 Italy.) As Elisabeth Graves, she's also the author of BLACK RIVER and DEVIL'S KEY (in English and foreign-language editions). Two novels have been optioned for film. She also coauthored the picture book T. REX AT SWAN LAKE with Lisa Carrier. Her poems and short stories have been published in THE AMERICAN WRITERS REVIEW, FOOTNOTE IV (Alternating current Press), CONNECTICUT RIVER REVIEW, FORGOTTEN WOMEN (Grayson Press), THE FLORIDA REVIEW, the Horror Writers Association POETRY ANTHOLOGY Vol. IV, and elsewhere. She's been awarded grants and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Florida Fine Arts Council, the Virginia Commission for the Arts, and the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and has been featured on "Voice of America" radio and on three episodes of PBS’s syndicated TV series, “Writer to Writer”. Hart teaches in the MFA program at Wilkes University, at the Norman Mailer Center, and at The Ossabaw Island Writers Retreat. She lives in Virginia, in a Victorian farmhouse off the Chesapeake Bay, with novelist David Poyer, two entitled cats, and two fairly modest peahens.
