Lisa Everson joined MSNBC in 2006 to help launch Your Business, producing dozens of stories for the program and masterminding the show’s broadcast from some of the biggest events in small business, including the Inc. 500 Conference, the New York Times Small Business Summit and the Consumer Electronics Show. She is also co-author of the book It's Your Business: 183 Essential Tips that Will Transform Your Small Business. Lisa spent 7 years at ABC News producing programs for cable TV outlets including A&E, American Movie Classics, Discovery, History Channel and TRUtv. For A&E, Lisa produced Biographies on business figures like Thomas Watson, Jr., legendary CEO of IBM and The Home Depot founders Arthur Blank and Bernie Marcus, political figures like Muammar Quaddafi and Lech Walesa, and actors including Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Robin Williams. For Discovery, she scaled the tallest building in the world for 7 Wonders of Engineering and uncovered new evidence in the legendary Boston Strangler case. For History channel, Lisa worked with Cokie Roberts telling the story of our Founding Mothers. Lisa started her career working with the award-winning filmmakers Gene Feldman and Suzette Winter where she worked on numerous documentaries about Hollywood legends such as Gary Cooper, Ingrid Bergman, and Jack Lemmon. These films are now part of the Feldman Collection housed at the George Eastman House International Museum of Television & Film in Rochester, NY. Lisa has a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Stony Brook University. She lives in Park Ridge, NJ with her husband and two children.
