Since being "kicked out" of kindergarten at age five for disrupting naptime by scaring the other kiddies with her imagined ghost stories, Loren Zahn determined to channel that mischievous inner child. In Zahn's debut novel, "Dirty Little Murders," she introduced investigative reporter Theo Hunter, a bright and savvy thirty-something whose uncanny insight into the criminal psyche helps her solve crimes despite having to navigate a mind-field of personal and romantic disasters. In book one, Hunter, on a mission to uncover political corruption, learns that evil wears many masks and that the friendliest faces can hide a murderous side. Just released, "Deadly Little Secrets," pits Theo against the pillars of San Diego's society determined to protect their horrible secret and a psychopath who plans to bury Theo along with the truth about a decade's old unsolved crime.
