Lori B. Rassas has more than two decades of experience working on the full spectrum of employment and labor matters and more than a decade of experience teaching executives, managers, employees, and students of all levels. She received an LL.M. in Labor and Employment Law from New York University Law School, a J.D. from the George Washington University Law School, and a B.A. from Tufts University. She is also certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), a trained mediator and arbitrator, and the author of six books. Throughout her career, Lori has provided extensive workplace guidance and counsel on all phases of the employment process to both employers and employees. She has developed a pragmatic approach to the navi¬gation of employment relationships that is derived from her experience working to resolve complex legal issues that have arisen on both sides of the bargaining table. Her prior employers include the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Columbia University, and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (now SAG-AFTRA), among others. She also has her own HR consulting practice, through which she offers seasoned guidance on the full scope of Human Resources matters including issues that relate to diversity and inclusion, develops and delivers training workshops, and coaches executives, managers, individual contributors, and job-seekers as to how to navigate their own workplace challenges. Lori has taught at a number of prestigious institutions, including Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia University’s School of Professional Studies, Fordham University School of Law, The Scheinman Institute on Conflict Resolution at Cornell University, Berkeley College, Excelsior College, and Baker College, among others. A recognized expert on employment law and workplace issues, Lori has appeared on CNBC and has been quoted in a number of publications, includ¬ing The New York Times, Forbes.com, CNNMoney, Fortune, USA Today College, Women’s Day, Aarp.org, nextavenue.org, Newsday, American Medical News, and CareerBuilder.com.
