He can be contacted via his writing blog at www.mattbelcherwrites.blogpost.com. Interview: - Q. Your first novel, Mr Personal Development is about a guy in the Self Help and Personal Development Industry. Why did you write about that? A. Well I actually love that industry. I have spent many hours sitting in conferences and reading books on all sorts of things to do with it. I really liked the idea that the people running the show had internal conflict but could never show it. Q. So is it a swipe at the industry? Anthony Robbins? A. Well maybe in a small tongue in check way. I respect anyone who is out there helping but at the same time I am also way looking at the characters and trying to figure out what they are thinking. What's their internal dialogue. Q. Do you have a genre? A. Well I guess Suspense/Thriller is my thing. I have written some romantic short stories but I always want to put some action in there! Q. What do you read when you are not writing? A. Oh gosh, so much. I have so many different things on my Kindle right now. Also books on the coffee table. I read fiction, romance, the latest whatever it is, animal communication books etc. Q. Name some for me. A. Ok J A Konrath books are great. I have read pretty much anything Raymond Feist as done. I am currently reading the Hunger Games series. Amanda Hocking's Hollow land series is also excellent. Bob Mayers Area 51 series. Deepak Chopra, Lynn Mc Taggart The Field, a book about animal communication, Cesar Millan books on animals. I can't think of any more right now. Q. So do you still read Personal Development books then? A. I think any book is actually just that. You can get something from everything you read. But yes I still read Personal Development specific books. Q. In Mr Personal Development, James Skye is the main character. Is he you? A. No. James is a very different person to me but there are some similarities between us. I think actually his internal conflict is something many men have. To make the right choice in a world of temptation.
