After a rough start in life and bouncing around from city to city and state to state, I decided that it was time to stop working fast food and retail and apply myself to writing the Hard Luck Diner series. I've always been enamored with the criminal underworld and alternate realities. After trying my hand with motorcycle manuals and failing there, a friend made the request that I try my hand at fiction and that's how Hard Luck and Black Coffee was born. What was initially supposed to be a single book initially exceeded 700 pages and so I decided to break the books up first into a trilogy then I decided to make it into a full series. My inspirations include Anne Rice, Laurell K. Hamilton, Bryan Lumley, and Kim Harrison. While my books are not in that same vein of romance/horror/science fiction, I do love a full saga and they've done a lot to show me the way. It was L.S. Riker and his SWAGtown series that inspired me to go into the crime thriller genre and I've never looked back. I honestly cannot imagine nor see myself doing anything else since I've gotten a taste for writing. I hope you enjoy the Hard Luck Diner book series as much as I've enjoyed writing them.
