Mindy lives in Georgia with her husband, three daughters and three dogs. Mindy and her family love to be outdoors and has spent a great amount of time camping, hiking, and exploring. Mindy has worked as a registered nurse for more than 30 years but has always had a passion for writing. She published her first poem in a local newspaper while in the third grade. Timothy’s song was written over 20 years ago and has sat in a cedar chest the entire time. When her daughters were young, Mindy would read to them every night and shared Timothy’s song with them, but never pursued publication of the story. Mindy has encouraged her daughters to let their passions and talents guide their career choices. Her oldest daughter, Shelby is a yoga instructor, her daughter, Sophia is studying Marine Sciences in college and her youngest daughter, Anna is studying film production in college. Mindy has a strong belief that if you use something that you enjoy doing everyday as your career, you will never work a day in your life.
