Born in South Carolina, Natasha has lived in NYC, Boston, DC, Tokyo, and Singapore, and has spent 15 years working in North and South Asia. She writes women of color characters who are reflective of the female journey. "I like strong female protagonists; they remind us of our strength and they feed our courage, but I also like a bit of reality intertwined in their personalities. It's great that they can kick butt, but they've got to have some substance to them, you know. They can't railroad every challenge. My characters' choices are far from clearcut and they have to live with the decisions they've made, especially the bad ones. Yes, they often have fantastical abilities, but their struggles and their desire for love and belonging are as real as the person reading about them." Natasha draws on her experience traveling and living as an expatriate for more than 18 years to create characters who are universal. "My characters might be Latin, Singaporean, Thai or Black American, but they are you, they are me." She has worked at multinational organizations and investment banks in the areas of HR and Project Management. "The pay sucks in comparison, but nothing is more gratifying than sitting in front of my laptop and weaving together a tale of suffering and triumph." She lives with her amazing husband, their "chalk-and-cheese" two daughters, and their pup, Saachi in hamlet in the countryside of England.
