Nik and Eva Speakman have changed and positively influenced the lives of tens of thousands of people all over the world, from curing a surviving 9/11 firefighter of PTSD, to a mum who had to give her much loved child away, as a consequence of her extreme phobia. Their own developed unique Schema Conditioning Psychotherapy has given hope and help to people who had been told there were no further options available, and cured conditions previously considered incurable. They have successfully treated sufferers of a huge range of anxiety disorders which have confounded all other areas of the medical world. Challenging traditional medical practice, they have successfully treated people with a lifetime of anxiety disorders on live national TV. Their success rate after 10 years as resident therapists on ITV’s multi award-winning show ‘This Morning’ is astounding and often referred to as ‘miraculous’ after working with more than 150 sufferers and freeing them of lifelong debilitating compulsions, phobias and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder mostly within one hour. The Speakmans had their own 20 episode show on ITV called ‘The Speakmans’ which also aired around the world. On a daily basis, ‘The Speakmans’ successfully treat people in their private clinic, and at their workshops around the UK. Their remarkable successes have led to some of the world’s most successful and high-profile people and celebrities to turn to them in times of crisis. Since 2015 Nik and Eva have been closely working with psychology professors at universities in Amsterdam and Utrecht, who are conducting scientific studies into their therapy. The scientific evidence of the first two studies being published in the ‘The Journal of Behavioural Therapy & Experimental Psychiatry’ which shared globally the remarkable efficacy of The Speakmans ‘Schema Displacement’ which outperformed the World Health Organisation’s preferred trauma therapy. Following on from this this, a third scientific paper was published in the 'European Journal of Psychotraumatology' in April 2021 again showing the efficacy of The Speakmans therapy. This has resulted in the Medical Ethical Council approving The Speakmans therapy for hospital patient studies which are currently ongoing, and a further paper is to be published at the beginning of 2022. Due to unprecedented demand for their help, The Speakmans host workshops all over the UK and offer resources of help on their YouTube Channel, and in their bestselling books ‘Conquering Anxiety’ and ‘Winning at Weight Loss’. Their latest book ‘Everyday Confidence’ will be released on 8th July 2021 and they have just started recording the third series of their motivational mental health podcast, ‘Making the Change’ which has spent several weeks in the top ten of Apple’s podcast charts.
