Olivia and Eric don’t claim to be experts, but they have blended personal experience with advice from experts and multiple years worth of research to write this. They cannot guarantee protection from a predator as persistent as the type focused on in this book. They simply wish to share what they have learned so others can be better informed, because gaining knowledge is the only thing we can do to protect our teens from this threat. The stories in this book are true, but all names have been changed to protect the privacy of those involved. (Please note that while the events are real, there is nothing graphic about the content. This book instead illustrates the tactics predators take to gain their victims and is meant for readers who are young and old.) There are many books available about sexual predators that target young children, and many books about the growing dangers of human trafficking, so they chose not to cover those subjects in this book.
