Greetings! I am the author of "How the Saints Shaped History," published by Our Sunday Visitor Press. It's new, and I'm excited about it. My book tells the story of the history of the Catholic Church, primarily through the ministry and doings of over 180 saints whom I discuss chronologically as I weave the historical narrative. There are many fine histories and fine saint books out there, but here I have blended history and saints together in one narrative. This is what I think makes my book unique. I am retired after 40 years of practice as a lawyer and I have a Masters in Theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville. Back in the day I attained degrees from the U. of Michigan and Notre Dame. But it was my more recent theology studies which kindled my interest in church history and led to the writing of this book, which has allowed me to combine my Catholic faith, my love of writing, and my interest in history. I live in Michigan with Elizabeth, my wife of over 44 years where we raised our five children. So far, we have been blessed with 17 grandchildren.
