Dear readers, it's a pleasure to meet you, and I hope you've enjoyed Eden: Stone of Eternity. The origin of Eden was almost accidental. I recalled when I was 10, I started making up stories and sharing them with whoever showed interest on the school bus. Initially, it was just my buddy, but the next day, five more kids joined in. By the end of the week, half the children on the bus gathered at the back to hear the story I had crafted. It was an incredible experience to connect with people through storytelling. As I journeyed into adulthood, I found myself suppressing this. "Renz, you're dreaming again. Can you tone down your overactive imagination?" "Be like everyone else." These phrases were common in my life. Teachers and adults often dismissed my storytelling, and as I grew older, I learned to lock that part of me away. Becoming a father was a profound transformation for me. I rediscovered the child within me, reconnecting with the boy I had set aside as adulthood took over. Building worlds with my son, embarking on fantastical bedtime adventures together, became our cherished routine. The creatures in this book, like Zycosas, often sprang from my son's imagination. During the Covid lockdowns, stuck at home and tired of games and movies, I turned to writing. When I shared it with L, my wife and best friend, I expected teasing, but instead, she eagerly asked for the next chapter. So I began writing Eden: Stone of Eternity while managing a full-time job. It was a challenging task, and there were moments when I wanted to give up. As I continued writing, the story took on a life of its own. It consumed me, flowing from my subconscious at all hours, and blossomed into this series. Four years later, L and I find ourselves on this incredible adventure, and the feeling is indescribable. We can hardly believe that we've actually published Eden: Stone of Eternity. Our journey is just beginning, and we invite you to join us on this adventure.
