Hi, I love to write Lincolnshire farm adventures set mainly in the 1970s, based on personal experience. Young inventor Harry (11), with his spiteful elder sister, Lou, battle jewel thieves and wasps during the summer hols, resulting in vile and smelly farm capers. In book 2, there's a mystery to solve alongside winter snow shenanigans. By book 3, the discovery of a neolithic time portal leads Harry(now 13) to hurtle at 65mph in his turbo-charged farm car in search of his missing/presumed dead Grandpa in the past. He must also save a future utopian world from deadly apex predators. My middle-grade books(above) are realistic/believable fantasy, with I Taught A Tortoise, But the Tortoise Taught Me, which was written for a younger age group (5-7), being a moral tale for ages 5-8 with a touch of magic. Most of my stories are accompanied by full watercolour illustrations by Lincolnshire artist Ann Kilroy.
