About the Author Sheila Schuller Coleman has worked most of her life, as a volunteer and professionally, in church. There is hardly an aspect of the church where she didn’t serve. When she was a new wife and then a new mother of 4 sons, she served her father, Dr. Robert H. Schuller’s, as his Senior Editor. Weekly she edited his sermons for the Hour of Power, both the video and print versions. In addition, she edited his books, beginning with Tough Times Never Last, but Tough People Do, and The Be Happy Attitudes. In all, she helped her father deliver 12 books to the publishers, many of which were on the New York Times Best Selling List. She is the foremost, living authority on his message. In addition, Sheila has written the following published books: Robert Schuller, My Father, My Friend, Ideal Publishers Between Mother and Daughter, Revell Publishers Mommy Grace, Faithworks Mommy Power, Faithworks And for children: Little Miss Ruthie Mae, Thomas Nelson Publishers McHappy, the Unhappy Clown, Thomas Nelson Publishers Dinkie, the Pint-Sized Dragon, Thomas Nelson Publishers The Best Story About Jesus, Standard Publishers Sheila has also written, along with her son, Scott Coleman and Adam Coughran a curriculum that is currently being used in public and private schools throughout the United States to teach best practices for feeling safe while staying safe, even in the event of an active shooter to children (Pre-school through High School). In 1993 Sheila entered the teaching profession as a teacher in public schools. This was followed by 16 years as the principal and then the superintendent of the Crystal Cathedral Academy and High School. She earned her Ed. D. from UCI in 2007 in Administration and Leadership, K-12. In 2009, she received the Distinguished Alumni Award from UCI. That same year she was asked to assist her father, Dr. Robert Schuller in his last years at the Crystal Cathedral. She served as the President and C.E.O. of the local Crystal Cathedral Congregation as well as the International Crystal Cathedral Ministries. Today, she is the Founder and Lead Pastor of Hope Center of Christ. Last, but not least, she is the grandmother of 8 of the most beautiful, and intelligent and talented grandchildren in the whole world!
