Jodi Weiss is the author of several published short stories, as well as academic books published by Random House/The Princeton Review. Her first stint in publishing was at the New Yorker Magazine, where she was an intern for the education program. Following that, she spent ten years in academic publishing at McGraw-Hill, Golden Books, and The Princeton review, during which time she held titles such as Managing Editor and Editorial Director. She recently ventured out from her 12-year career at a top professional services firm, where she led the firm's Nonprofit and Higher Education Practice to start up EverythingSmart (www.EverythingSmart.org), which focuses on career coaching & advisement and search/staffing solutions. Away from the office, Jodi teaches Literature and Creative Writing at a local state college, and in her free time, Jodi is a devoted yogi and avid ultra runner with over twenty 100-mile distance credits to her name - and counting! Jodi holds Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees in English Literature and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Brooklyn College. She is a regular contributor to Huffington Post and Linked In Pulse, in addition to various running magazines. From Comfortable Distances is her first novel.
