Nakishia McGowan is the founder of the Bernadine Kerner Foundation LLC, a foundation that is dedicated to helping abused Women and Men that have survived Domestic Violent relationships start over again. Nakishia Devotes her time to the Bernadine Kerner Foundation and she is currently a full-time OBGYN Patient Coordinator at the Ohio State University, where she has been employed since 2005. Nakishia is a mother of 3 children and a host of bonus babies from her husband of 2 years. The story of her life is not simply something she just encountered. She determined she would not allow the dysfunction to dictate or alter her personality and a chance to live a normal life, as much as possible. To know Nakishia in her fullness is to know she is the life of the party. In addition to being a mother, coworker, and founder of the Bernadine Kerner foundation, Nakishia loves the Lord with all of her heart. Her prophetic gift from the Lord has given encouragement and understanding to people that she has encountered. Nakishia McGowan’s greatest accomplishment in life was not becoming what statistics said she was going to become due to the tragedy that she faced. Nakishia states “being a victim of crime was by circumstance but not repeating the same behavior that resulted in that circumstance was a choice”. “Fun Facts” about Nakishia: • She is known to many as KiKi • She loves Crab legs and Corn on the Cob with lemon pepper… • She hates Lima beans and Lobster.
