(I am very sorry that I do not speak or write French, such a lovely language and a beautiful country, but I do hope that you all speak English good enough to enjoy my new book!) I am Dr. R. Manolakas, and I wrote the new non-fiction fitness, diet, and exercise book called "The Orangutan Butt-Burn Diet", just released on Kindle, paperback, and will be out in audiobook in mid-March 2015 through Audible.com and I-Tunes.This short, practical, healthcare-driven guide—offered by an expert insider—is nearly everyone’s blueprint to optimize the length and quality of life, yet focuses on middle aged women who are twenty-five to sixty pounds overweight and are not consumed by fitness. They merely desire a healthy life with maximum vitality—and to look better naturally. Surprisingly comprehensive and fast reading—with a dab of spicy humor—essential details of lasting weight control and emotional pitfalls are clearly delineated, along with vital facts to assist the reader in coping with the maze of modern healthcare. A plan to help dodge common but potentially lethal diseases related to obesity is offered. The endangered orangutan is our model, whose wholesome lifestyle deserves our protection. I also wrote "Subversion; Life on the Edge--of Eternity" in 2014, a paranormal thriller novel about a dark conspiracy to destroy humankind through subversion of a huge government vaccine program near Washington DC; "A Pool, A Suitor, A Cellist", the first in a series of handy novelette trilogies subtitled: "Bright Shadows Series: Novelette Trilogies for Busy Folks"--these are short and strange novels in a "Twilight Zone" like style; and the third, "Lonely Pines" subtitled, "A Medical Short Story Wherein the Future Rescues the Past," a bizarre tale about a busy ER doc who encounters a patient that medical school never prepared him for. All are in Kindle, paperback (except "Lonely Pines"), and on tremendous audiobooks versions through the quality companies Audible.com (Amazon) and I-Tunes (Apple). I am a physicIan by background who is now into health management. I enjoy writing very much, and have written a screenplay in the past. I like to use that style with my novels, very visual and with action because I think action defines character. And by action, I don't necessary mean a car chase, but a purposeful physical act that symbolizes significant choice and attitude in a character. The narrators of my audiobooks are extremely talented, and I hope that you find these great listening during your commutes or other busy activities (or just relaxing!). You may email me at jeffersonvenom15048@gmail.com to get on my email author newsletter and to request a free Audible audiobook download code while they last (a $20 value) for any of my books (please put "paranormal suspense--audiobook code") in the subject line (brief reviews are always appreciated; you may also reach my personal author website at: rmanolakasaudiobooks. jimdo. com). "A Pool, A Suitor, A Cellist" is my latest book and is comprised of three short novels--each in three convenient parts for handy reading or listening. The tales are bizarre and thought provoking, and may have surprise endings. If not, you'll enjoy the ride (maybe even more) and the irony. These quick reads harken back to the days of the great TV series, "Twilight Zone", "One Step Beyond", and "The Outer Limits". The audiobook version is riveting. "Subversion" is a paranormal thriller/suspense novel that has at its core the modern nightmares of extreme violence, wars, false identity, and betrayal. Why do these happen with such force and regularity in humankind--and throughout our history? Despite this, there is a lot of good in the world worth fighting for, and the main character--Collin De Guise--does so indeed. He is a medical researcher who works on a vaccine for a catastrophic virus which rampages through Africa, killing hundreds of thousands of children--the "Vampire Virus". To make the vaccine, he has to culture and grow the actual "wild" type virus in the lab--where an even more terrible serotype could be produced. What if it got loose? What if it not only gets loose, but it is supposed to get loose? That is the spine of the story. I enjoyed writing this novel because I think you can appreciate this book on different levels. There is suspense, action-adventure; serial murder, a love story of sorts, and a techno-medical thriller all rolled into one. There are also deeper meanings embedded within the story if you want them, and paranormal/occult undertones that really are only incidental to the story. The plentiful female characters in this story are strong and masterful, and a few very sexy. "Lonely Pines" is a science fiction short story of an old man trying to save a young doctor in a way that I hope entertains you and also gives you a little tingle down your spine. Try it on audiobook. I enjoy reading (of course), old movies and epics, some sports, and cooking. I live in South Orange County, CA. I hope you find my books chilling but entertaining--and with bright spots mixed with the dark ones. Enjoy!
