The writing was alright, wasn’t a fan of the narrator. He didn’t do a bad job, just not personally a big fan. I struggled to pay attention whenever it was from the Dark Eldars point of view.
The Greenskins were naturally a lot of fun. Story was very barebones.

I have read several books by Gav Thorpe and enjoyed most of them. I was looking forward to the first Leagues of Votann novel. Story was forgettable. Characters were either unlikable or just didn’t care about them. I felt like the narrator was a poor choice for this book. I was surprisingly disappointed on just about every level.
As i said before, most of Gav Thorpes books are decent, so this wont stop me from listening/reading his next one.

Not a fan of book burning, but i would destroy this if i had a physical copy.

The title of my review might seem a little extreme, but any book that tries to celebrate pedophiles with “their love so great that all Bretonnia's poets would weep as they penned exquisite odes in its celebration.” Should be destroyed.

Given the title of the book, i expected this to be some kind of satire. Not an actual children’s book. I am sure this was meant to help young people get over trauma, but i just can’t relate on this level.

This was one heck of a slog. I had planned to listen to all five End Times books, but i can’t do it. The narrator is good and the writing is fine. But the story is so weak, i could only enjoy the book it when wasn’t advancing the “story”.

I find out of the five books this is the weakest one. It gets really good! My largest complaint about the audiobooks is the one reading it. Every sentence is read in complete astonishment and it sounds terrible. Reading the books was much more enjoyable.
