An Emotional Rollercoaster

Wow. The writing. The story. The characters. Everything was just so, so perfect. I went through so many emotions while reading this and had troubles putting it down! 5 🌟
Definitely need to read more by this author.

What can I say about this book? Wow. Just amazing! I went in thinking that I doubt I would like this as much as everyone is saying so. Boy was I wrong. Such a wholesome story which had me laughing and crying so much.

I really struggled to finish this one, had to take a bunch if breaks to get through it. I really didn't like what was done to most of the characters and found the story kind of bland. I did enjoy the performance for the most part, though!
I'm glad I read it, but I won't read it again. Wasn't awful, but was just - meh.

Surprising!

As someone who does not normally read historical fiction - I was quite surprised to find that I enjoyed this book as much as I did.
I did find Claire to be annoying at times and connected more with Jamie than Claire. I also was bothered by the inconsistency in the chapter lengths. Otherwise, I'm looking forward to the next in the series!

Lacking Romance

The Unhoneymooners was actually a cute story and I loved the idea. I feel though that the characters had no actual romance though and only spoke about the physical features (which got tiring real fast).
I dont think I can actually recall many conversations where the physical features weren't mentioned.
I also feel like the performance for Ethan should've been done by a male actor as Ethan was suppose to have a deep voice. Performance of Olive and the family were great though!
Overall was an okay story with a few funny moments. Wouldn't read again but definitely glad I did at least once!

I was not expecting to enjoy this book as much as I did. Not only was the writing amazing, but the narration was spectacular. The characters are so in depth that you grow to love them all. Definitely one of my favourite books now and will be recommending to everyone I know!
