Histoire
It’s not easy making the career jump from office-supplies-store middle manager to heroic interdimensional adventurer. At least, Jason tries to be heroic, but it's hard to be good when all your powers are evil. He’ll face off against cannibals, cultists, wizards, monsters...and that’s just on the first day. He’s going to need courage, he’s going to need wit, and he’s going to need some magic powers of his own. But first, he’s going to need pants.

Exceptionally narrated, good story.
Évalué le: 2022-11-10
Heath Miller does an excellent job in narrating many different characters, and you will almost never feel like any one of them sounds the same, Miller is able to use many different English accents from all over the world, and it's really good.
The story starts out pretty slow, but it's more due to all the mechanics of the world being introduced, which in my opinion was a bit repetitive and long drawn, and might stop people not interested in video games from continuing. As you keep listening though you really get invested in the world and the characters, the MC is pretty cool and has an interesting personality that keeps you guessing.

Histoire
In the city of Queen Mab, nothing is quite as it seems. Pariah, spy and Inquisitorial agent Alizebeth Bequin is all of these things and yet none of them. An enigma, even to herself, she is caught between Inquisitors Gregor Eisenhorn and Gideon Ravenor, former allies now enemies who are playing a shadow game against a mysterious and deadly foe. Coveted by the archenemy, pursued by the Inquisition, Bequin becomes embroiled in a dark plot of which she knows not her role or purpose.

Great Narration, amazing story!
Évalué le: 2020-09-30
This book as definitely worth a listen, Jonathan is doing a fantastic job narrating all the different characters and situations and the story is breathtaking. it was a bit confusing at first with the way it is split in to first person view at some points, but as soon as you get whom it is taking the perspective of it starts to fall in to place.

A hidden artifact waits to be found - and used.... The half-breed ogre, Golgren, at last Grand Khan of all his people, faces unpleasant threats. The Knights of Neraka encroach on one border and the minotaur empire crosses another, while the rise of a new and unlikely rival among his own kind augurs the death stroke to all his ambitions...perhaps his very life. Histoire
In the first chapter of this epic trilogy, the outcome of the historic War of the Ancients is forever altered by the arrival of three time-lost heroes: Krasus, the dragon mage whose great power and memories of the ancient conflict have inexplicably diminished; the human wizard Rhonin, whose thoughts are divided between his family and the seductive source of his now-growing power; and Broxigar, a weathered orc veteran who seeks a glorious death in combat.
