Not much to say about this one if you've listened to the rest of series you'll know and probably love this entry as well. about the only thing of note that I'd say stands out from the rest of the books is this one went reverse isekai and is a bit of a soft reset for the general situation with Legion. Personally I thought it was great. not perfect but still really good.

The performance is also on point as always. A good range in voice work and he does a great job of voice adherence for each character.

the book was informative and well spoken, exactly what you'd expect from Douglas Murray. although I completely disagree with his views on George Floyd (that garbage human killed himself with bad choices) I get what he was going for with the comparison. outside of that I think he was on point or at least credible with the rest of his arguments. definitely worth the time and money.

if you enjoyed the anime or just like a good work of military fiction then this maniacal story might just be for you. Also the performance is amazing, it's really awesome how they get the actual voice actors from the shows to do the narration on all their books.

first off the performance was fantastic but that's to be expected of Andrea. great vocal range from male to female, accented or otherwise.

Now the story is also as expected but in a less generally pleasing sorta sense. It's straight up rpg wish fulfillment with a more then healthy dose of bumping uglies. I won't go into detail because you'll know by the author's description if this is for you. personally it went a bit heavy on the sex, makes listening unpleasant if I'm not at home, aside from that it was solid addition to the genre.

Part of the 15th chapter sounds like someone writing a social justice blog post. 99% of men don't have a "sexist brain" anymore then gay people have a gay brain. And the bit about Margret assuming Joe was racist over sun block was equally cringe worthy. you tellin me a battle hardened vet who has served with him for years as practically family would automatically assume he was racist the whole time? The rest of the story and RC Bray were great as usual but that chapter stuck out as preaching, really brought me out of the story until the next chapter.

Well done and fun

Honestly it's a pretty good Syfy romp overall.
Yahtzee does a great job narrating and the story has some genuine gut busting laughs.

But the main character is such a gigantic cuck of a man I had a hard time getting through early sections of the book. This is a personal preference, the mc isn't objectively bad and his personality serves the more comedy aspects of the story. He's just not the kind of individual I enjoy fallowing around for 9 hours.

Still gave this book a 4.5 because I'm sure most people won't have the misgivings with the mc that I did.

Great guilty pleasure

Trope filled, self insert fun at it's best or worst (if this isn't your thing). It feels like it fits right along side all the isekai anime that have been flooding the market over the last few years.

The narration was fantastic in my opinion. love the fact it was a duel cast. I usually don't mind when it's only a single person but when you have someone doing the male voices and someone else doing the female ones it makes a world of difference.

Only gave the story 3 stars because it's unoriginal and a but short for my liking. while not poorly written it definitely isn't going to be for everyone. Has monster girl, harem and polygamy themes, especially closer to the end of this first book and am assuming it only ramps up from this point.

great follow up

I was unsure with the 1st book overall but thankfully most of the problems I had with it have, in my opinion, been addressed by this second installment.

Also still the same kind of anime inspired power fantasy wish fulfillment. it's a bad in a good way.

pretty good if you like the litrpg or isekia genres.

the story itself while generic is serviceable and fairly well written. the performance is very well done possibly the best part of the experience.

would not recommend this to anybody who doesn't like trash anime or b movies, really runs with the tropes.

honestly the worst part of the whole package is the protagonist himself. he comes off as a petulant child always complaining about something or other. I really hope his character evolves a bit in the next volume or I'll probably be done after that one.
