All Things Aside is a punchy, honest, incisive book that shares a view of the world through the eyes of the inimitable Iliza Shlesinger. From the macro to micro, Shlesinger tackles it all with her no-bullshit comedic style.
Throughout the book, Shlesinger dives from one subject into the next, making her hilarious asides the basis of her stories, much like she does in her stand-up comedy. Topics range from dissecting social expectations to the notion that products marketed specifically to women are scams, and all manner of things in between. She even dares to ask herself the all-important question that every woman is forced to consider at some point—Am I actually an annoying person? Shlesinger also shares intimate moments, including a devastating miscarriage, which she manages to navigate not only with grace but somehow with side-splitting humor.

Great book!
I enjoyed this book very much. It is funny, thoughtful, thought-provoking and at times a little sad, but all in a very relatable way. Great job, Iliza, people should know how to pronounce your name :)

Lots and lots of laughing
I can’t remember the last time I laughed this much listening to an audiobook, and comedian biographies are my favourite subgenre. Twice, I laughed until I cried and had to call someone to share the absolute joy I was experiencing; not able to fully articulate how funny the moment was. Iliza, I was a fan before, but now I think I love you. Thank you for the entertainment.

Drinks with your bestfriend
Great nook, great reading and great content.
listening to Iliza, is like catching up with an old friend who is catching you up on life, with a fun twist of Comedy, vulnerability, honesty and wit.
I highly suggest giving it a listen/read, you'll find good insight, and laughter.
I cannot wait for another book from Iliza!

Thoughtful, funny and well written!
As an elder millennial, she wolf, boss bitch on the cusp of legal forty*, (get me a glitter cup now) I could relate to so much of this audiobook. It is insightful and nostalgic. It is heart warming in ways that hit you unexpectedly with deft timing. It is empowering and hilarious.
It covers a huge array of topics that may or may not make you raise an eyebrow at the world or at yourself.
I thoroughly enjoyed it, but don't trust me, give it a listen!
