it was alright

American Psycho was always a book I've been interested in but never took the time to read or listen to. While I did really like the ambiguity, I wasn't a fan of the ending.

I laughed way to much listening to this book

Lots of messed up parts in the book few animals abuse parts so be ready for those, wasn't the biggest fan of the story. Their are a few chapters where Patrick is just talking about albums for 10-18 minutes that just didn't do it for me.

With all that being said when Patrick isn't killing animals or call girls the book is extremely funny I was laughing out loud many times though the book which I wasn't expecting and the performance was top notch I also felt was a little long but was a good read overall.

Now I have to go, I have to return some videotapes.

Insane story

The narrator was perfect, couldn't have been better.
The story is so insane and dark. Really dark comedy some parts.

Wild

the narrator was awesome. I was skeptical about him for the first few paragraphs but then it clicked. the pace he was able to maintain during the climax was quite exhilarating and very impressive.

Boring

I found it long and boring, too many in depth descriptions of clothing etc. I know it was necessary; I just wish it was done a little less.

wow, that was alot

Well this was a hard book to get through. If you are a fan of the movie and want like 14 extra hours of indepth thoughts from the main character then dive in. This is one of the most vile books I ever got through and it took me 3 attempts to read. The violence and sex is graphic but that's not really what makes it so vile. Every though comes from such a awful dark place that my hate of yuppies has been magnified by 1000. I also struggled with alot of the description of things, food and fashion. Being not well off money wise at this point in my life also made the blatant over consumption of everything just that much harder to listen too.

thrilling

what a great book, so violent and visceral I don't know what really what to say about it. there were times when I really don't know what to say. I would say listen to this book but understand that it's going to touch a lot of points in your mind that you've never never wanted to be touch before. I hope you enjoy it.
