À propos de cet audio
Newberry is thrilled to host the highly anticipated convention for the cult hit TV show, Detective Dracula. Local businesses are booming as fans descend upon the quaint town to witness the reunion of the beloved cast.
The excitement quickly dies when the star of the show chokes to death on the cherry of his signature cocktail. It seems like a tragic accident—until his ghost communicates otherwise to resident psychic Mia Thorne. Too bad he can’t identify the culprit.
Can Mia solve the case and salvage what’s left of the convention or will the killer’s escape be the cherry in a whiskey sour?
Cherry Dead is the seventh book in The Bloomin’ Psychic series.

I loved this series
I was very sad to have finished this series. It lifted my spirits (no pun intended) at a time when I needed uplifting (world events getting me down). I found the reference to actual herbalism and Wiccan lore to be very refreshing and informative. I am not a fan of fantastical monsters or anything too far from my practiced credulity. The character development in this series is inspiring and the humour genuinely funny. Not a fan of romance, I found the series quite acceptable in that respect - just a hint of healthy relationships without the overwhelming lust and gagging sentimentality of some other series I've started and rejected. Having said all that, this final book in the series is less funny and more self-help-like. It is filled with some very serious and profound insights, which I did appreciate despite reminding me that the series was wrapping up.
I found the voice of the narrator a little hard to deal with initially as she sounds far older than our protagonist. However, despite that, she did a pretty good job. I have tried to listen to other books by this author and have given up as the narrator sounded too juvenile as well as the more fantastical, romance and 'adolescent' nature of the books. More grown-up humour please, Ms. Chase and more believable content!
