About the Performer

Phillipa Soo is best known for originating the role of “Eliza Schuyler Hamilton” in Broadway’s critically acclaimed show Hamilton, earning her a Tony nomination, an Emmy nomination for the filmed version, and a Grammy Award for the cast album.
Soo stars in the film adaptation of Taylor Jenkins Reid’s bestseller One True Loves opposite Simu Liu and Luke Bracey. On stage, Soo most recently played “Guenevere” in Aaron Sorkin’s revival of Lerner & Loewe’s Camelot on Broadway.
She is now in production on Ryan Murphy’s new ABC series Dr. Odyssey in which she is one of the leads alongside Joshua Jackson and Don Johnson.
Her theater credits include starring in Shaina Taub’s off-Broadway musical Suffs directed by Leigh Silverman and playing the role of “Cinderella” in the James Lapine & Stephen Sondheim production of Into the Woods. In 2018, Soo appeared on Broadway opposite Uma Thurman in the play The Parisian Woman and in 2017 played the title role in the Broadway musical Amelie. Soo also originated the role of “Natasha Rostova” in the 2012 Ars Nova production of Dave Malloy’s Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812.
Her television credits include Hulu’s critically acclaimed Dopesick and AppleTV+’s Shinning Girls. She also voiced a lead role in Netflix’s animated film Over the Moon and in Disney+’s film The One and Only Ivan. Soo starred in the Selena Gomez-produced The Broken Hearts Gallery and made her feature film debut in Fabien Constant’s Here and Now opposite Sarah Jessica Parker.
Phillipa recently released her children’s book Piper Chen Sings to uniformly excellent reviews.

Cho has continued to deliver compelling performances in both film and television and has positioned himself as one of the first Korean American actors in the mainstream to break through business and cultural barriers. Cho can be seen in television and film ranging from mystery comedies to science fiction space westerns to dramas to romantic comedies to thrillers and more.
Cho first came into the spotlight in the 1999 hit comedy American Pie and the sequel, American Reunion. He starred as “Harold Lee” opposite Kal Penn in the cult comedies Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay, and A Very Harold & Kumar 3-D Christmas. Cho went on to star in the iconic role of “Lieutenant Hikaru Sulu” in the motion picture reboots of the legendary Star Trek franchise, appearing in all three films— Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness for J.J. Abrams, and Star Trek Beyond, directed by Justin Lin.
Cho recently released his debut middle-grade book, Troublemaker, which debuted at #2 on the New York Times middle-grade bestseller list. Troublemaker is a galvanizing middle-grade offering that follows the LA riots in 1992 through the eyes of 12-year-old Korean American Jordan Park.

loved the banter

Cute story.

It was fun listening to this book. The presentation was well done. You could tell some of the plot line early but it didn’t distract from the story itself. This was more of an enjoy the journey book.

So so good!

Charming and warm, this audiobook stood out and gave me a refreshing story with a bit of mystery and a lot of laughs. The main characters are relatable and entertaining and the plot stays strong throughout leaving the audience also wondering what they will find out next!

Another Great Book from Chu!

A Feel Good Story

This is the kind of book you read the same way you would eat comfort food. Tons of laughs with an interesting plot. I would listen to this again and enjoy it just as much.
