THE STORY

This is yet another 'Guard VS T'au' book that winds up heavily downplaying the conflict hinted at in the description. It's quite bold that a book called Fire Caste has barely any T'au show up until the third act but Fehervari has compelling enough ideas and twists that they didn't really need to be there. Despite some fridge logic moments of questioning particular little details about the 40k setting, the story as you go through it is gripping enough (and narrated fantastically) that you'll still enjoy every moment of the unfolding drama.

This author is way too underrated, I've enjoyed all of his works a great deal. The narrator did an excellent job as well.
