Irritating writing style
I plodded through this book, simply because it wasn't awful and I hoped it would get better; sadly, it didn't. The author spent so much time describing irrelevant minutiae, I felt like I had ADHD while listening! None of these details added helped build the tension I the story, just my tension as my irritation grew with every silly sidebar. The narrator didn't add anything to the book. She made barely any attempt to act the different characters. I'm just glad I bought it on sale and didn't waste a credit on it.

The reading
The story was interesting however the reader was not able to make much of a difference in the voices of the characters. She was particularly poor at making any of the male characters sound like men.
