À propos de cet audio
While catering a cosmetics company luncheon, Goldy witnesses the hit and run death of a rising young sales associate. Could the death have anything to do with the animal rights picket line in the parking lot...or with the exotic blue rose found next to the victim's body?
Under the spell of Barbara Rosenblat's skillful narration, listeners will feel the urge to bite their nails as they realize that, this time, Goldy's bitten off more than she can chew. Luckily, Ms. Davidson's tempting recipes for Fudge Soufflé and Killer Pancakes provide a tasty alternative.

Awesome listen, terrific series, 1 annoyance
This is a terrific series of books. In this installment our heroine Goldy Bear (yes, that's her name) tries to help her cop husband solve the mystery of their foster son's girlfriend's death (it sounds more complicated than it is).
The good :
The plot moves along at a brisk pace, the characters are well developed and there's a great balance between story and recipes. Another bonus...all the recipes are at the end of the story so you aren't stuck listening to them at the end of every single chapter (I'm looking at you Joanne Fluke). The narration is also top notch, with distinct voices for each character.
The bad:
There isn't much to complain about here with one exception...Goldy's son, Arch. This character is so mind numbingly awful that I cringed every time he entered the story. He's obnoxious, self-centred and horribly indulged by his mother. Yes, teens can be a handful, but this character is so over the top irritating that I had trouble believing his mother hadn't murdered him yet.
Bottom line:
Was it worth the credit?
Yes.
Would I recommend the book?
Absolutely.
Would I suggest having a bandana on hand to shove in your mouth so no one can hear your expletives when you have to listen to Arch bitching AGAIN?
H*lls yeah!
So, overall it's a great listen. Just be prepared to grit your teeth when the wretched Arch appears.
