À propos de cet audio
One single mom. One chaotic family. One quirky stranger. One irresistible love story from the New York Times best-selling author of Me Before You.
American audiences have fallen in love with Jojo Moyes. Ever since she debuted stateside, she has captivated fans and reviewers alike, and hit the New York Times best-seller list with the word-of-mouth sensation, Me Before You. Now, with One Plus One, she's written another contemporary opposites-attract love story that reads like a modern-day Two for the Road.
Suppose your life sucks. A lot. Your husband has done a vanishing act, your teenage stepson is being bullied, and your math-whiz daughter has a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that you can't afford to pay for. That's Jess' life in a nutshell - until an unexpected knight-in-shining-armor offers to rescue them. Only Jess' knight turns out to be Geeky Ed, the obnoxious tech millionaire whose vacation home she happens to clean. But Ed has big problems of his own, and driving the dysfunctional family to the Math Olympiad feels like his first unselfish act in ages...maybe ever.
One Plus One is Jojo Moyes at her astounding best. You'll laugh, you'll weep, and when you hear the last page, you'll want to start all over again.

For Isabel, recently widowed, the house is a potential lifeline - the only hope she has of providing for her two children without having to sell her most treasured possession.

Sasha has had it. She cannot bring herself to respond to another inane, “urgent” email or participate in the corporate employee joyfulness program. She hasn’t seen her friends in months. Sex? Seems like a lot of effort. Even cooking dinner takes far too much planning. Sasha has hit a wall. Armed with good intentions to drink kale smoothies, try yoga, and find peace, she heads to the seaside resort she loved as a child. But it’s the off season, the hotel is in a dilapidated shambles, and she has to share the beach with the only other occupant: a grumpy guy named Finn.

Excellent "read"
I really enjoyed this story - "read" it on a long solo car trip. The narrators were engaging and it really helped keep the characters straight.in my mind. The story had twists and turns that kept me wondering where we were headed. I felt a bit let down by the last chapter, almost as if the author rushed to finish the story but it was a satisfying end - even if there were questions in my mind as to what happened next. I will definitely try this author again.

It was the best of times. It was the worst.
So funny, uplifting yet poignant. The characters were perfectly imperfect and therefore easy to relate to.
