All the feels
Abby Jimenez is a magician. She creates such great chemistry between her MCs. If you’re looking for a heart warming book that has emotional swings from tragic life experiences to sweet loving moments, this is your next book. The narrators are the cherries 🍒 on top making this listen perfection.

I have loved all of Abby’s books so much, but this one I found disappointing. The characters in her other books are so well developed, but everyone in this book seemed to lack that same depth for me.

Great storyline

Not My Favourite
The characters were flat. Both individuals sound like great people but there was a lack of depth to them.
Plot surrounded Samantha’s mom, which was a different take on a romance book and shows glimpses of caregiver burn out.
There was no build up to a climax with the leads, which I am okay with it (I think?).
It felt like everything at the end was too good to be true. How Hank came in at the end, shared wisdom and acted like Xavier’s good karma.

Meh…just ok, not sure why all the hype
A well written love story but could have been half as long. It drags on and on. Its a little boring at times but definitely has its moments. Sometimes the characters just annoyed me. So sickeningly perfect. I can usually read a book in a couple of days, but this took longer because it was kind of a drudge to get through. Overall, three out of five stars.

Liked it, but not her best.
Abby Jimenez is my favourite author and this book is good. The love story is soft and sweet. I think the issue is she just sets the bar so darn high. There was a lack of complexity in this story. I kept waiting for the run in with his Xavier’s parents, the twist in Samantha’s mom’s story, the series of complex incidents and the weaving of more Easter eggs. The stuck they experienced felt not completely unpacked or realistic. Missing something. This book is worth buying and reading for sure, it is a lovely read. Abby Jimenez has a substantial gift for this genre. I will always buy and read her works, this just wasn’t my fave.

Matt Lanter narrates audiobooks?! YES PLEASE!
Loved the side by side male and female narration, it really helped to bring the story alive. Matt Lanter’s voice is truly a gift to all women.
This book was a bit of a slow-burn compared Abby’s other stories; we get less physical interactions between the couple. I wish there had been a bit note heat, but the romance guiding the story still made it worthwhile.

The memories of the ones we love
Abby Jimenez is one of my most favourite romance authors and I have to say this book did not disappoint one bit.
Sam and Xavier had a very interesting meet-cute, but once they connect they never are able to stay away from one another. Physically they can't be together, but there is so much more than being physically present.
This book shows that love can blossom in the most hardest of times, that even when some parts of our lives are unraveling we can find a person that becomes our biggest support. That life is worth living so we can make memories with the people that come into our lives and make it worth while. Lots of grief, but lots of hope. Lots of tears, but lots of love.
