Kept me interested

Usually I listen to a book while I clean or walk, AirPods in and listen. This book had me hooked. I listened for 2 days and finished it! So good. Great twist.

A well written, but horrific story

This story is a fast moving, gripping tale of humans treating other humans badly for reasons that mystify. Not easy to listen at times. The narration by Angela Dawe is superb.

narrator is the best ever!

What a performance by the narrator. Because of how the story is written after a few chapters I began to think I was listening to something that was really happening and forgetting it were a book. Must buy for fans of the genre.

I will never work another open house alone again.

Great writing, great narration, but how it all unfolds towards the end left me very frustrated and almost sick for the main character. To go through such a horrific ordeal in the first place, then come to find out the selfish truth behind it all left me feeling scared, empty and sad.

Captivating

Was so into this book I was sad to see it end , the ending threw me off so hard

fantastic

was not expecting the twist, actually made me tear up abit. I also assumed I knew her and Gary would be a thing, little sad they aren't. really great read

Kept me hooked

I wanted to keep listening at every free moment. What a whirlwind, this is the second book I’ve listened to by this author, now I need to find more by her because WOW.

loved it

I love this author and the way she grabs you at the beginning and keeps you there among the characters, the vision is like you are standing beside them or behind them catching the whole book like a movie.

Raw and palpable

The author took you there and you felt the pain and emotion and the narrator brought depth and rage that made the words become real. I couldn’t stop listening it was so real.

Good book - disliked the narrator

This was on my TBR for years, finally got around to the audiobook, however i think i would have liked this better had i read the physical book instead. I personally REALLY disliked the way the narrator portrayed the character which took away from the story for me. I do love Chevy Stevens and really enjoy all of her books, this narration just wasn't for me.
