Impressive performance
This is my first 'audio movie' and it's really well done - the voices, the music and the sound effects combined to make a fantastic performance to listen to.
The story follows two main characters: Hadrian, a mercenary tired of killing, and Gwen, a girl with a gift for reading palms who's trapped as a prostitute. The author spends more time on Hadrian and his halting camaraderie with the feral assassin Royce, but Gwen's story is more compelling - her reasons make more sense and the danger she faces seems frighteningly scary, which makes her triumph even greater in the end. Hadrian and Royce, on the other hand, get into a lot of trouble for almost no reason at all, which makes the book feel a bit lacklustre.
That said, it was still a fun listen. The narrators are great, the characters are fun, and the story kept my interest. I'll be listening to the sequel.

I’ve read this series twice through and this audible was a great way to re-experience it
