As good now as then.
These stories are just pure gold. The best way to escape for an hour or 10, and join one of the most exciting group of adventurers ever! Loved reading them in the late 80s and 90s, and love
listening to them now. Victor Bevine somehow adds even more to these stories. Bravo!

Awesome series
One of the best series I've read (or listen to). Icewind dale trilogy is a must for those into fantasy. Well read except when he says lived ( past tense) as a present tense. Other then that Awesome job.

Still good but also meh.
Seriously, how many times can you kill off a main character and bring them back the next chapter before it gets old and pathetic? I seriously can't give a sh** about characters dying anymore because it means nothing really, perhaps a chapter without them and then POOF! Alive and magically whisked away to catch up to their party of friends. Still getting the next book but I hope he finds a new schtick soon.

Swashbuckling Fun
This is a very fun novel, and a great continuance of the Icewind Dale trilogy. It really builds on the Artemis Entreri character, Drizzt Do'Urden's Moriarty. Salvatore spends quite a bit of effort on character development, but still entertains while following a pretty standard rescue plot.
The Encounters and Battles are brilliantly choreographed, and location descriptions enliven Fäerun - even extending into another Plane of Existence.
The only drawback is the immaturity of the subject matter. It is a D&D world, afterall. Salvatore starts to fall victim to self-congratulation. At times he takes himself too seriously. Still, an enjoyable distraction.
Victor Bevine does a very good job in this recording.
I give this lively novel 8.5 out of 10 Stars.
