Lost interested half way through

The beginning was great and then it sort of meandered and I didn’t feel like the was a point. A lot of reminiscing on events that took place in the last 2 books. I couldn’t help thinking that the story wasn’t a necessary addition to the first 2 books.

I didn’t love it, I also didn’t hate it.

I loved the first book, the second was good.
To me it felt like a long meandering narrative that didn’t plant feed or build enough foundation for me to really invest in the story.
The first half or so was interesting and then it’s just wandered about.
I think I would have enjoyed it more if meaning had been given to anything.
The performance was pretty good. Again, not as good as the last two. But good.
