From the author of the multimillion-copy bestselling thriller The Perfect Marriage
Till death do us part. Yours. Not Mine.
It’s been eleven years since high-powered attorney Sarah Morgan defended her husband, Adam, against the charge of murdering his mistress. Sarah has long since moved on, starting a family with her new husband, Bob Miller, and changing careers. Her life is back to being exactly how she always wanted … or is it?
After discovering Bob engaged in a one-night stand, Sarah wastes no time filing for divorce. However, amid their ugly separation, new DNA evidence is uncovered in the case against Adam, forcing the police to reopen the investigation and putting Sarah right back in the spotlight. Everyone wants to know what really happened, most of all former deputy Marcus Hudson, who is hell-bent on finding the truth.
But when the woman Bob slept with is reported missing, he and Sarah start to fight dirty, and a high-stakes game of cat and mouse ensues. Filled with page-turning suspense and Jeneva Rose’s signature twists and turns, this book will have readers wondering, Can Bob and Sarah achieve the perfect divorce? Or will it be “till death do us part”?

(Dawn Gentle, Audible editor)“Spicy, messy, and full of courtroom drama…[The Perfect Divorce] is a quick read with major popcorn energy, making it ideal for summer.”
(The Pearl (New Orleans))“This is a classic cat-and-mouse thriller from an author at the top of her game.”
(B&N Reads)“This book stands well alone…The plot is fast-paced, and there is plenty of action…Dark and twisted.”
(Midwest Book Review)“A true page-turner.”

(Booklist)“Rose has a lot of fun with her characters’ attempts to implicate each other in the book’s overlapping criminal investigations and maintains wicked tension from the opening pages…A ride worth taking.”
(Publishers Weekly)“Rose has cemented her place as a must-read author.”
(Jennifer Hillier, USA Today bestselling author of Little Secrets)“Jeneva Rose is a force to be reckoned with.”
(Alex Finlay, author of If Something Happens to Me)Fortunately, it didn't. This book is a big improvement on that first Jeneva Rose offering.
The characters make more sense, the angry dialogue between two divorcing scumbags is realistically emotive, and Rose's twists & turns are more unexpected and intriguing in this one.
As to presentation: Adam Lazzare-White (reading the chapters from the POV of 'Sherrif Hudson' woth masterful skill) nearly makes up for subpar readings by the others in the voice cast - although Brittany Pressley is also excellent.. but taken in toto, the narration of the book is "average" overall.
Altogether, I give 'The Perfect Divorce' 7.5 stars out of 10. The story really only makes sense if you've read the first book - this has very little standalone merit - but it's a fun follow-up.
[Note: This author's "perfect crime" scenarios are laughably implausible - they're so complicated that they could never realistically work - but they're imaginative]
Very Good Follow-up
