À propos de cet audio
The dwarves have gone to battle, and they have been victorious. But outside the realm, dark forces are at work.
A secret army of Orcs, made immortal by the hidden powers of the Black Water, now marches towards Girdlegard, set to unleash its fury upon the kingdom. Sooner than they realize, Tungdil and his comrades will need to summon all their courage to do battle against this bloodthirsty horde.
The Orcs are not the only threat. An unspeakable new power is growing and threatens the very existence of the dwarves. But both enemies have forgotten one very important truth: A dwarf is never more dangerous than when total obliteration seems inevitable.

Another great story
Another great story from the author. His character development is well thought out and his layering of plot lines makes for an understandable progression of multiple tracks and interests. It doesn't feel unusual at all when an antagonist gets some spotlight time, lending itself to exposition of another faction's position.
There's some things still bugging me in this series though. "Bogulin" instead of "goblin". I thought this was a translation situation since this is a German book originally. Turns out "Kobold" IS German for "Goblin", but kobolds are specifically unique creatures.
I also don't understand the need to subdivide the chapters with dates. There's too often use of this tool when the story is just simply continuing where it is. I also hear reference to regions which sometimes helps, but sometimes it's convoluted like, "former region of that other guy" at least three times a chapter. I'd also AGAIN still like to see an audiobook showing the subsections. nine sub chapters in an hour and a half is hard to track if you're needing to rewind to a specific point.
I also don't see any guides as PDFs available with the book. I've seen this with some others where there's intros to some characters and who they are and what rank. Or maybe some idea of what a "famouli" is, instead of simply inferring "sorcerer's apprentice". With modern technology and the primers in the back pages of older books, we shouldn't have a problem here.
I also struggle every time a company chooses a new narrator mid series. The narrator of the first book was great. I don't understand why they changed. The second narrator for this book is good in their own right, but several characters had very different voices as a result. Belindis and Belindal/il are a few characters who come to mind.
Overall though, I'm happy to download the next and keep going!

not as gripping as the first book but still good
I will be honest , its wasnt as good as the first book. I would have given it 4 stars but I found the first 6 chapters very long and drawn out. They wernt bad chapters, they just seemed more like a long love story to me. The last few chapter however, were very exciting! The ending was emotional. If the first 6 chapters were like the last few it may have even been close to a 5 star. Definitely worth a read. Just push through the first six chapters. Trust me the final battle and few twists were worth reading
