Then, she found out her wonderful Grandma G had died, leaving Lou the Sweet Hearth Bakery in the small town of Whispering Mountain way up north in the Pacific Northwest. Jobless, friendless, and boyfriendless, Lou definitely needed a break from her disintegrating life. It was the perfect time to take a road trip, to run away, even...no one would even miss her, not for a while anyway. And just because she burned absolutely everything in the kitchen lately, didn’t mean she couldn’t run a bakery, right? But when a ghost who smelled like heaven saved her life and Grandma G’s pretty tabby cat with the multi-colored eyes started talking to her, it was time to ask some serious questions. Was there really magic in the town...or was she just going crazy?
