Childhood Fave Come to Life
To get back into reading I've sought out old favorites, and what a find to see a fully cast recording to bring this wonderful story all back to life. Inner child is ecstatic. love!

A wonderful cast recording
This was the first Tamora Pierce book I read at 11 years old. To hear it now, as an adult, with a full cast recording, made me so happy. Listening to this was like cuddling up under your favorite blanket, with a good cup of something hot. The cast did a wonderful job. I have read this series many times. I always feel like I pick up on something new each time, despite knowing the story very well.

Great series!
I love this series!! I found it in elementary school library (many years ago haha) and was hooked from the moment I started reading. I was SO excited to see that the author was narrating, but I do have to say she is a little robotic sounding. The rest of the cast is terrific at bringing life and emotion to the characters, but I do wish the author's narration was a little more smooth. Overall it's still 100% worth listening to 😊

8th time listening
This series is one of my favorite series but even better with the full cast audio doing the voices. Dane is incredible and getting to know her, her spunk, her love of animals and her friendships are addicting to listen too. Tamora has a way of bringing us on a journey and making us fall in love with the characters. Love that she gave us a continued relationship with Tortal and some of our favorite characters from The Lioness series too. 5 stars indeed!

absolutely amazing!
This was one of the most wonderful adventures I have ever been on. I look forward to the next 3 books and highly recommend this to anyone who is seeking a new adventure.

Good except for narrator.
Loved the different voices and emotions. What I did not like was the narrator’s way of reading. Every word was slow and spaced apart. Was like hearing someone who has trouble reading and has to clearly say each word and pronounce it exactly. It is almost like listening to some autistic reading, except my cousin is autistic and reads better then this. Really really detracts from the story. Still trying to finish listening to the book but not sure I will.

Exceptional
I loved it. I read the book as a child and am incredibly pleased by the performance of Tamora Pierce and Full Cast Audio. This is now one of my favourite audio books.
