One of the best for action and story!
This and the previous book kept me on the edge of my seat. It’s for anyone that’s looking for a great story that doesn’t mind a bit of violence. I have hundreds of audible books in my library and this is one of the better series.

Can't wait for the third book.
Loved it. My only niggle would be Christian Rodska's voice for Beau makes a 30ish man sound like Winston Churchill!

Loved it
This series keeps on giving. The story is unfolding well, the characters are developing as distinct individuals, and I am always looking forward to what happens next. Sometimes middle books in a trilogy can feel a bit slow and unfulfilling but I found it flowed well with the story and I can't wait to dive into the final book.
Narration is too level, Rodska continues to deliver as he has previously and it is much appreciated!

To re-quote Sanderson "Just plain Awesome"
Another amazing addition to the series, quickly becoming one of my favorites.
For those looking for the darker side of Fantasy, this book has it all. War torn land, non stop battles, quick paced plot and interesting magic.
Narration is also very well done.

great story, riveting
I found some of the voices of the narration a bit over the top. Sometimes the accents were barely understandable.
The story was great though, better than the 1st book.
