Fantastic
I love all things Stephen King.
By far my most favorite chapter was Rattlesnakes. I loved the whole supernatural aspect to it and the tie in with Cujo, which was another favorite of mine.
Highly recommend it for all his constant readers.

Will Patton is outstanding as the narrator.
The long "short" stories each deserve to be turned into screenplays they are all that good

I do like it darker but it is definitely not…
Lovely bedtime stories, nothing more.
Nice writing but there is no dark here, barely grey.
Will Patton saved this book from being average. I’m a fan for life, this book will not change that but if you like it darker, don't hold your breath… it’s not.
P.s.: the last 6-ish hrs. are very good, The last 2 stories will leave you wanting more. Those carried so much promise of taking this book to the dark side but just too short and sadly it’s over before they reached the right temperature, Could have been developed into two fantastic full length books.

Will Patton is back!! I very favorite narrator 🩷🩵.

Excellent Storytelling
I haven’t been a huge fan of Stephen King but the fact this was a collection of short stories intrigued me. I’m glad that I decided to give him a try. This was an excellent listen - the stories kept me in my car long after I arrived at my destination and Will Patton has become my new, favourite narrator.

a fantastic listen
I throughly enjoyed each story!! I especially enjoyed the one about Danny and the Rattlesnakes! It was hard to take a break because I kept wanting to listen to more! Another great book by my favorite author ❤️

I'd like it darker!
I adore Stephen King, have since Carrie came out, I am a Constant reader. Most books I own are his and I listen to many over and over. His recent work I also love- Billy Summers, The Institute, and Fairy Tale are 3 favs. One because of a dog named Radar. :)
That said, I'm almost done this audiobook and am wondering where's the darkness here? Full Dark, No stars- was pretty dark, and I loved it. This one is quite enjoyable but not so dark at all. In fact... Joe Hill sounds more like Old King, than Old King does!
He's mellowed like wine perhaps. I'm not interested in getting jump scared at my age particularly either, so the mellowing happened on both our parts.
SO happy that my favourite narrator Will Patton, does most of the narrating. He makes any book shine.
I may change my review after listening to the last 6 hours.
Actually, I have. Rattlersnake(s) with it's tie to Duma Key- absolutely great story.
