Not just a love story
The author wrote this story using her own experiences while sharing the importance being patient and kind to those that deal with trauma and have mental health issues.
Abby Jimenez is such a wonderful author and an excellent reason as to why romance novels are so important, they share how others live and deal with things and how our actions and reactions impact others. Stories like this also share the importance of healthy relationships and good smut shares the importance of things like consent.
I would definitely read this again, along with her other novels.

Love these narrators! The book had me laughing and crying. I want to be friends with all the characters! I'm not generally big on a lot of "misunderstandings" in romance stories, for anxiety related reasons but, so I know I'll like this book even more the second time. I have huge respect for the author, she gives such an accurate representation of what anxiety and panic attacks feel like ( so much so that it was triggering at times).

This is a beautiful story of two families affected by chronic illness. The precious theme around the life-giving potential of organ donation touched my soul as my youngest son died at 35 years of age and donated his kidneys two years ago. I will never recover the grief of losing him however, I am as proud of him as any mother could be knowing that from childhood. He had decided to become an organ donor. And as Abby says, it is the greatest gift that we can give to someone we don’t even know thank you Abby this book was wonderful.
