The Sabbath is a complicated doctrine in Christianity, with one extreme focusing entirely on what day the sabbath should be observed and another entirely forgetting the doctrine. Prooftexts alone are unhelpful, as we find the sabbath taking on a progressive development throughout biblical revelation (Genesis-Revelation). Here's a survey of the kind of working biblical knowledge needed to come away with a solid understanding of the Sabbath and how it progresses throughout the scope of Scripture.

Kevin from Better Bible Reading proposes a new approach to Bible reading in 2025. Instead of following a chronological reading plan, he suggests focusing on a single genre for the entire year.
