You’ve seen him around Nashville, whether it’s through music or through him just putting a smile on peoples face. Pherius Wilhoite otherwise known as “Mr. Wayadoin” himself , or musically as “12welve34our” (twelve thirty-four) comes to vent today on the show ‼️ Mr. Wilhoite comes to vent on todays podcast and talks about his journey through the court system. Not being an afraid to share with our audience the case and charges he was facing, and how that mentally hindered him from a lot of things. He talks about the joy it gives him to make others laugh, because there was a time where he felt he had nothing to offer to the world. Coming from a solid foundation at home, and also being a young father, Pherius knew he had to turn things around in his life .     Good Morning Nashville ☀️ Beginning of the week! Excited to drop a new episode from your favorite, and ONLY black father and son podcast in Tennessee. We got a great guest duo on the show today so sit back, unwind, and enjoy today’s episode. Let’s lock in! 🔒 We are a few days behind Fathers Day, but wanted to still get out this great story between these two men. Our relationship with these brothers began in church, and has been strong both inside and outside church doors. A young man by the name of Nathaniel Hicks, a New York native, moved to Nashville and began his family. Then his son, Nigel Hicks, a young man who vents heavily about his fathers impact, his journey from childhood to adulthood, and how adversity in his solidarity season of life built him to the man he is today. Both men take the time to not only vent about their own individual mental health struggles, but they take the time to appreciate each other in the episode as well.     Good Morning Nashville ☀️ We tell you all the time that you NEVER KNOW what the Black Men Vent Too guys are up to next. Just a few days ago, we were blessed with the opportunity to be commentators at the one and only Fat Boys Basketball League here in Nashville, Tennessee. 🏀 The Fat Boys Basketball League was made up by a group of men, for a bigger group of men. Everything is aimed towards getting guys in shape and back active with an undertone of brotherhood and competitive fellowship. We then began discussing fatherhood , and Marco lit up like a Christmas tree when talking about his baby girl . To be a girl dad, is such a rewarding experience and Marco talks about how having a daughter has matured him and also has given him more of a respect for women altogether. He talks about being lonely, and how during this time of separation form maybe loved ones or friends, and naturally how that affected him mentally. Being able to let go of something that doesn’t serve you anymore is vital behind protecting your mental health.     Good Morning Nashville ☀️ Super excited to once again bring you guys more content, more episodes, and more venting from various black men near and far. As a mental health based platform, we are eager to reaching out to black men and provide them a safe space to express those things that they internally deal with most. Let’s lock in on today’s episode as we listen to another black man vent today ⭐️ We always say that we will go anywhere in the U.S. to get a black man’s story on our podcast. Today we’ve traveled to Brooklyn, New York virtually to introduce to our audience our good friend and brother, NYC native, Mr. Khalil Armstead ✌🏽 Growing up, he talked about how important family was to him growing up in New York. Specifically, his older brother was a big inspiration to him behind how he protected him during times he got bullied at a young age. After losing his older brother, he vents about early in his life how he grew up seeking that protection, that influence, and just longing for a community to be accepted and validated by external people. Affectionately known as “Army Regime”, he talks about his artistry career, and how being on the Step Team and the famous group “The Temptations” influenced him behind his music and livelihood. “I turned my basement into a prison … the emotional pain I felt, was physical.” 4-5 years, Khalil says he was in deep dark depression. Army vents about the healing journey, and how his path to a fully healed version of himself … saved him. Guys this episode is loaded and filled with passion, major shoutout to our guest .
