Lung transplant is a surgical treatment option for some patients living with end stage lung disease. According to the American Lung Association, the intent of this procedure is to replace diseased lungs with healthy lungs in an effort to improve quality of life for people who have medical diagnoses such as COPD, cystic fibrosis and pulmonary fibrosis. Our guest, Jenny Harrington, MPH, RDN, CNSC, is a dedicated and accomplished dietitian with experience in clinical nutrition and management.
