This Nation was born under God, to work with God to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. History bears clear witness that the early American leaders and preachers expected and encouraged worship of the God of the Bible as a vital part of the life of this Nation; and warned of the dire consequences that would come upon the United States if we failed to worship and obey God. We are reminded in Acts 17, that the only effect of any change in our Nation must come from the prayers of the Church – that means you and me. Let us not forget why we are here!

So the question is, why talk about persecution? Because ‘Persecution’ is not waiting for us to leave this earth. It is extremely important that we understand how to prepare for it. Jesus Loves and is forewarning us as stated in 2Timothy 3:12, that everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus, will suffer persecution. Agencies reveal that more than 365 million Christians worldwide are facing high levels of persecution and discrimination, all for the sake of their faith. Pastor Sandra Kennedy addresses at least three things that will prepare us to stand firm in these last days as we get closer to the coming of the Lord. Number 1, because we are different, when walking in righteousness. Number 2, that we should expect to be misrepresented (criticized, mocked, etc.) which is another form of persecution. And Number 3, because of our allegiance to Him, we should expect an outpouring of Grace in the midst of being persecuted.
