Teresa D. Johnson is an insurance professional, a blogger, author, and entrepreneur who resides in Taylorville, Illinois.

Teresa was born in central Illinois and lived in Florida and Texas for a short time when she was young. It was during her time in Texas that she discovered her talent for writing and won first place in a statewide academic essay competition at the University of Texas in 1982.

She later graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and political science. She freelanced for the Springfield Business Journal, a monthly business publication from the fall of 2001 to January 2016.

Teresa was a single parent to her two sons who lived with her until her oldest son was autistic unexpectedly passed March 2023.

Her younger son is a graphic designer soon to be married October 2024. As a former parent board member of the Autism Society of America Central Illinois Chapter, Teresa has a passion to advocate for individuals with autism and their families by providing knowledge to access community services and financial solutions to bring peace to the entire family.

Her other passion is to support individuals with a strange unhealthy feeling to focus on other people’s needs without taking care of themselves.
