Another aviation scare... this time in Chicago where a midway jet aborted a landing when the pilot spotted another aircraft about to cross the runway in front of him. It's just the latest in a string of aviation dramas this year. And an unusual request from accused healthcare CEO assassin Luigi Mangione. Don’t send so many pictures. Apparently, the accused killer, who has pled not guilty, is being inundated with letters, gifts, and photos. Now, his legal team wants to put a limit on it. Plus, a horrific hit and run and cops say an Amazon driver is to blame. A woman was struck by the delivery truck and then nearby doorbell cameras show the driver getting out looking at the woman on the ground screaming and then leaving the scene. And the gold in Fort Knox is present and accounted for. That's the word from the U.S. treasury secretary. But that hasn't stopped conspiracy theorists from speculating for years that the gold is gone... replaced with fakes and now even President Trump's been mentioning it. Last night Jane Fonda received a lifetime achievement award at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. The 87-year-old actress used the opportunity to deliver a politically charged speech. She didn't mention President Trump by name, but it was very clear who she was talking about. And thousands of federal workers are out of a job today and word is, more firings are to come. Some found out they had no job when they could no longer access their email. That's not the way to let an employee go. Plus, staff at a hospital in Pennsylvania are still reeling after a weekend shooting in the intensive care unit that left one police officer dead, and several hospital workers injured. The suspect - who was killed in the shootout - had recently lost a family member in the unit. And egg prices are expected to jump 20% this year, so people are going to great lengths to get them. Forget about buying a dozen at the local supermarket, some are buying eggs in what's called "loosie" style - three in a bag. If you saw this past weekend's Saturday Night Live anniversary special, you may have noticed how tightly packed the studio was. Now Steve Martins says least two of the big stars tested positive for Covid-19. A skit during the show actually joked about the possibility. And there hasn't been a hockey game so political since the U.S. faced off against the Soviet Union in the 1980 “Miracle on Ice.” Last night's match up between the U.S. and Canada was preceded by plenty of bluster by President Trump - and though it was a close one, in the end, Canada won. And that's given Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau plenty of ammo to fire back at Mr. Trump. Plus, Elon Musk was seen swinging a giant chainsaw at the CPAC Convention. His dramatic appearance comes as the mother of three of his children is desperately trying to get his attention. She says he's not responding to her texts or emails - so now she's resorting to social media. And scores of people lined up outside a Manhattan court today for a seat inside court for an appearance by suspected HealthCare CEO assassin Luigi Mangione. And inside there were cheers for Mangione’s lawyers. To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. She's a world class tennis star who's tough as nails on the court, but Emma Raducanu broke down in tears. Not because of a bad game, but because in the stands, she spotted a man she says is stalking her. She was so unnerved she tried to hide behind the umpire's chair. And an unbelievable situation when a woman leaving a restaurant is confronted by a man with a gun. He fires but misses and what ensues is a cat and mouse chase that ends in the woman's death. Authorities believe the killing was a murder for hire. Plus, it's U.S. versus Canada in tonight's big hockey championship match and President Trump is using the event to continue goading Canada - saying it should become the US' 51st state. And officials say it will be Monday before things are back to normal at the Toronto airport in the wake of Monday’s jet crash that left the plane upside down and travelers have had it with delays. In fact, there was a near riot when they couldn't get their luggage. Not guilty. That was the verdict --as a jury acquitted rapper Asap Rocky of felony gun charges that could have landed him in jail for more than 20 years. When the jury announced their decision, a joyful Rocky jumped over the courtroom rail and into the arms of his partner, singer Rihanna. And an Arizona woman is grateful to be alive today, after she was hit from behind by a cement truck and trapped inside her vehicle as it caught fire. Fortunately, two good Samaritans stopped. Incredibly one of them was an off duty firefighter who happened to have his gear with him. Plus, when that Delta jet flipped on landing in Toronto the other day - it was a combination of safety protocols and luck that no one died. But once passengers escaped the burning plane, there was a new concern: the bitter cold! Taking a cue from penguins, they huddled together - and it worked. And he is a huge supporter of the Democratic party and now he has words of encouragement for President Trump. Actor George Clooney is wishing the president well. He was on Steven Colbert's show last night, saying even if you didn't support the candidate who won - this is democracy. The investigation continues into yesterday's plane crash in Toronto in which a Delta jet somehow flipped onto its roof after landing on an icy and windy runway. Incredibly all 80 passengers and the crew got out alive, thanks in no small part to some heroes on board. A number of passengers stepped up and worked with the flight crew to get everyone out safely. We've told you about break-ins at the homes of athletes while they're at games. Now it's happened to Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban while they were in Las Vegas for Keith's concert residency. The couple has multiple homes, but the burglary happened at their house in California. Plus, the Stanley Cup is the top prize in hockey. It is also the name of a wildly popular -- and pretty expensive - insulated drinking mug. And it's no surprise the drinking cups have become a target of thieves. And three and a half years ago, America was obsessed with the disappearance of Gabby Petito, the young woman who was murdered by her boyfriend while out on a road trip. Now, a new Netflix documentary reveals right before her death Gabby had reached out to her ex-boyfriend for help. Severe winter weather is causing chaos at airports and this Delta plane with 80 people on board ended up flipping upside down after coming in for a landing on an icy runway. Inside the cabin, passengers strapped in with their seatbelts, were left dangling. Incredibly, there were no fatalities. And, it is now believed Elon Musk has 13 children with four women. After keeping her pregnancy secret, a 26-year-old conservative influencer announced Musk fathered her five-month-old child before, she says, tabloid media announced it. Plus, half century of television history was revisited last night with NBC's celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of Saturday Night Live. The world's biggest names in entertainment gathered at 30 Rock. Among them, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively - making her first red carpet appearance since the legal wrangling began with her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni. And is Wendy Williams really unable to handle any of her affairs? She was spotted maneuvering her way through the Miami airport - seemingly quite aware of where she was and what she was doing. The second part of the one-two punch has hit the Los Angeles area. After last month’s devastating wildfires, residents are now being pummeled by torrential rains -- sparking mudslides, inundating roads and even sweeping vehicles into the Pacific Ocean. The rains and the resulting destruction were expected. And when President Trump returned to the oval office, he did some decorating, as most presidents do. But no commander in chief has ever had a mug shot to hang right outside the oval office. Plus, troubling development in the case of the sports reporter found dead in his hotel room during the Super Bowl. A New Orleans woman police say was using the victims credit card was previously arrested three years ago in a similar case in which a victim was drugged and robbed. That man was outraged the culprit wasn't put behind bars in his case. And an 87-year-old widower who didn't want to just sit home alone decided to throw a winter party. But instead of posting an invitation online, he went door to door in his neighborhood and all he asked was for folks to bring a smile.
